Orifice sizes and flow rates

Choosing the correct orifice size is important for consistent foam and good gun control. Watertek recommend turning down your machine flow when applying chemicals for better control, then matching the orifice size to the reduced flow, not the full rated LPM.

• Orifice Size 0: For machines running around 7–10 LPM.
• Orifice Size 1: For machines running around 10–15 LPM.
• Orifice Size 2: For machines running around 15–21 LPM.
• Orifice Size 3: For machines running around 21–30 LPM.
• Orifice Size 4: For machines running at 30 LPM and above.

As a guide, a 21 LPM washer would normally sit in Size 3. In practice you will often turn the flow down for chemical work, so a Size 2 nozzle is usually the better match. Dropping one size helps compensate for the reduced flow and maintains performance and pressure at the nozzle.
